Teacher Training Program at Dance District Social Dance Studio

Our intensive 5-month Dance Teacher Training Program is now about to begin its next cycle.

The program classes are held monday evenings at 7pm and classes take two hours.

This progam works in five one-month sessions, each of which will focus on two dances. The remining weeks will be examination weeks, and anyone not passing examination will be asked to leave the program. We would much rather have one dedicated individual than ten who will only barely try.

The program will teach you how to teach all of the utility dance steps any student will ever need to know in order to dance in a social environment. This training will be the basis of any dance instruction you will do in the future and so it will focus on the technical aspects of dance as much as the practical.

The Dances Taught include the ChaCha, Fox Trot, Marengue, Waltz, Tango, Swing, Samba, Rumba, Quickstep, and Salsa!

Successful completion of the program does not guarantee placement as a teacher at Dance District, however it will give you a firm grasp of the basics of dance and dance instruction.

We are looking for fun and friendly individuals who are willing to dedicate themselves to the program. Candidates should expect to spend a bare minimum of 6 hours per week on this program, with no upper limit to how much time they will spend on practice.

This program costs $210 per month-long block. No-Cost In-Kind Service option available.
